Many businesses disappeared in 2020 and 2021 because of Covid-19 and the constraints that followed. More will disappear in 2022.
However – all the large tech companies greatly increased their profits during Covid because they were already operating in powerful digital cloud ecosystems. This allowed them to quickly pivot in light of new constraints. For them, operating in the cloud was business as usual.
Adding ‘curbside service’ because of Covid does not give you a competitive edge if you’re adding it to a ‘steel filing cabinet’ system.
